Alaska Salmon Fishing Trip, LORE, June 2001 - part 3

fish in boat yes there was that, and here are a few Kings that I caught, about 25lbs each

fixing lunch, filleting and now, preparation for lunch with my fish waiting in line.

smoking at lunch Preparing the fire out in the wildnerness for lunch... with rubbing sticks... nah, diesel oil and stored dry wood.

LUNCH! There is almost nothing like freshly caught, filleted, fried salmon and fried potatoes and onions on an open fire

rain and cold Wasn't perfect every day. Jay Tolson tryed his pipe, gave up and tried his digital camcord, after leaving 48 degree water, air temp and driving rain...

flying back to lodge and in our trusted beaver float plane we near the lake on which, to the right is our lodge... arriving for a drink, a quick shower, dinner, and start all over again...

guys relaxing. and now for a bit of relaxation after dinner

going back home

and so, 8 days later, it was 45 minutes back on the jet boat, 45 minutes on the dirt road, checking frozen salmon that we had caught and our luggage in a really small airport at Dillingham... lay over for several hours in Ankorage, red eye to Detroit and 24 hours later, landing in Princeton for the drive home. Great trip
