Alaska Salmon Fishing Trip, LORE, June 2001 - part 2
and now, both in afternoon for trips to outcamps and in mornings for trips to lakes and streams to fish... constantly
The scenary to the outcamps, flying through the valleys watch immense complexes of beaver dams and lodges and moose was terrific.
And then we would land... almost by definition on a pond, walk on boards over "floating" tundera to the outcamps
a camp like ours, but this was for the guides at Togiak, the name of a native Indian Village in the area, as well as a salmon cannery, caribo, bear, eagles and me
midnight sun, literally at our outcamp
oh, and then there was the beauty of the fishing after our arrival for the day... whether a mountain and tree lined lake...
or the fantastic rushing streams that ran between the lakes... up which paraded, mystically millions of salmon.. right by your feet
and the pleasurable fantasies about what really happened at "Sockeye Sues" a native american camp
